Mohonk Preserve offers a stunning, rustic setting for outdoor weddings and special events. Our Slingerland Pavilion, surrounded by sweeping, uninterrupted views of fields and mountains, is a unique, economical, “green” site for all your event needs.
At the Pavilion, you can celebrate any occasion, from a small, casual get-together to a formal party with 120 guests—wedding, anniversary, family reunion, corporate event, birthday party, memorial, company picnic, commitment ceremony, bridal shower, rehearsal dinner, and more.
Location
Located in New York’s Hudson Valley, just an hour and a half from Albany and two hours from New York City, the Slingerland Pavilion is a magnificent, open-air, cedar pavilion located near Mohonk Preserve’s Spring Farm trailhead. The location offers ample parking and stunning views of the Catskill Mountains.
Services
The Preserve’s trained and experienced staff is here to help you have the perfect event. We will coordinate your pavilion rental and meet you and/or your caterer for a planning session. Preserve staff will be on-site on your special day to assist with signage, set up, guest arrival, parking, and clean up—whatever’s needed to ensure that your event goes smoothly.
The Slingerland Pavilion is available for rental to Preserve members. Not a member yet? Becoming a Preserve member is simple and affordable, and you can join when you reserve the Slingerland Pavilion.

Visitor Center Rentals
Our beautiful Visitor Center is surrounded by acres of woods and miles of trails that can provide the perfect, break-time relaxation. Enjoy our seasonal Butterfly Garden, indoor and outdoor exhibits, rooftop terrace, and beautiful views of the ridge.
Two ADA-accessible meeting rooms are available for rental:
- The Conference Room, located just off the main exhibit hall, can seat 20 people around a large conference table, with an additional 10 seated in a second row.
- The Discovery Room is a more informal space located on the lower level. Depending on room arrangement, this space can accommodate 20-35 people.
- Also available for after-regular-business-hours rentals is the entire Visitor Center complex, which includes the Main Exhibit Hall, Conference Room, outdoor Terrace, and Classroom. Please see Guidelines below.
