Commercial Film & Photography
As New York’s largest nonprofit nature preserve, Mohonk Preserve has hosted numerous feature films and commercial photo shoots. With over 8,000 acres of mountain cliffs, forests, fields, streams and other beautiful and historic places, the Preserve offers a wide variety and diversity of scenic locations. Our over 70 miles of historic carriage roads and trails provide easy access to amazing vistas and hidden gems. Our expert Visitor Experience personnel will work closely with your team on scouting site locations and access options and will provide support throughout your shoot.
Commercial Filming
During film and other commercial shoots, adequate monitoring and supervision is necessary to protect Preserve resources. Care must also be taken to ensure that regular visitation and Preserve functions are not disrupted. Location agreements, as well as proof of liability insurance, are required for all commercial filming. All agreement conditions must be agreed to and signed by both the applicant and the Preserve before an agreement is valid and use of the site is authorized.
Commercial Still Photography
Still photography projects require a permit when they involve a commercial photographer and/or props, sets or models. Location agreements, as well as proof of liability insurance, apply to all commercial photography. All agreement conditions must be agreed to and signed by both the applicant and the Preserve before an agreement is valid and use of the site is authorized.
Location Fees
Location fees are determined based on crew size, site location and duration of photography or filming.
