
Paloma Krakower
Director of Conservation & Community Education
Paloma joined our team in June 2024 as Director of Conservation & Community Education. Paloma received her Bachelor of Arts degree in Sociology with an area focus on Power and Inequality Studies from the University of Richmond. She earned her Master of Arts degree in Environmental Conservation Education from New York University.
Prior to joining the Preserve, Paloma was the Director of Workforce Education & Development at Dutchess Community College, where she helped adult learners and other underrepresented populations explore pathways to degree programs and in-demand occupations in the Hudson Valley. She also spent eight years with the Wildlife Conservation Society as a professional development provider for NYC public school teachers. Throughout her academic and early career tenure, Paloma pursued internship and professional opportunities in animal care and environmental education, including a semester abroad working with the Cheetah Conservation Fund in Namibia. Paloma’s hobbies include hiking, dancing, traveling, and spending quality time with family and friends.
