Eric Roth

Associate Director of Development & Grants

Eric has worked at Mohonk Preserve since 2012 and since then has won over 200 grants totaling nearly $8 million in support of the Preserve’s programmatic and capital needs. Eric possesses over 25 years of experience in archives, historical and fundraising work. He earned a Master of Library Science degree from SUNY Albany.

From 1997 to 2006 Eric held the position of Archivist/Librarian for Historic Huguenot Street in New Paltz, NY and served as the organization’s Executive Director from 2006 to 2010. From 2010 to 2012 he worked as a Grant Writer for Orange County Community College (SUNY Orange) in Middletown, NY, where he contributed to the preparation of over 60 grant proposals resulting in over $4 million in awarded funds for the College.

Eric is currently a board member of the Grants Professionals of Lower Hudson, where he chairs the Mentorship Program. He has also been a grant reviewer with the New York State Archives and teaches an undergraduate class on Hudson Valley Culture for the SUNY New Paltz History Department. In 2016 Eric graduated a “Pattern Fellow” from Hudson Valley Pattern for Progress’s regional leadership program.
