
Andrew Bajardi
Director of Visitor Experience
Andrew worked as a Seasonal Ranger for the Preserve beginning in 2006 and then as a full-time Ranger. He was promoted to Chief Ranger in 2015. In 2021, he became the Director of the Visitor Experience, having a dual role until 2024.
He has been working in environmental and related fields for years. His progression in this field led him to study various disciplines of Emergency Medicine, Nursing, Technical Rescue, Land Stewardship, and Wilderness Survival. He currently holds certifications as a Wilderness-EMT, National Registry-EMT, GEO-MEDIC, Wildland Firefighter 1 & 2, Crew Boss, Wildland Search Skills, High-Angle Rescue Technician certified in various levels of advanced mountain rescue, Red Cross First-Aid/CPR Instructor all levels, CPR for the Professional Rescuer, Game of Logging Level 1, and a Leave No Trace Center for Outdoor Ethics trainer. Andrew plans to progress in the field of Conservation and Natural Resource Protection.
Andrew has facilitated environmental education programs for various organizations, with concentrations in initiative programming. These programs have focused on building self-confidence, problem-solving, teamwork, and group cohesion. Andrew is a National Outdoor Leadership School and Outward-Bound alumni. He currently lives in High Falls, NY, with his two dogs and enjoys cooking, backpacking, hunting, and anything that takes him outdoors.
