Special Events Manager
Tom joined the Preserve team in 2018 bringing his expertise in conference planning and marketing from various director-level roles in B2B publishing and event production in Manhattan. In addition to planning fundraising events such as Rock The Ridge, Shawangunk Grit and the Annual Benefit Auction, Tom manages donor and planned giving events and enjoys serving as a member of the Preserve’s Climate Change and Sustainability Task Group. He has been instrumental in creating the Preserve’s composting program and strives to minimize waste from events whenever possible.
Tom was born and raised in northern New Jersey and holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from Gettysburg College with a major in English and a minor in Political Science. He currently resides in New Paltz with his husband, Mike. When not hiking or biking on the carriage roads, Tom can be found baking, gardening or working on a jigsaw puzzle. Tom loves to travel and experience different cultures and historical landmarks, while always returning to the Hudson Valley.
