Karen Williams

Associate Director of Membership & Database Administration

Karen is a lifelong resident of the Hudson Valley and outdoor enthusiast. She joined Mohonk Preserve in 2016 and is currently the Associate Director of Membership and Database Administration.

Karen brings her technological expertise, interest in the environment and dedication to the local community to this position. She is delighted to be working in a position that synthesizes her interests and strengths and especially enjoys planning and working with volunteers and staff to assist in producing the Preserve’s fundraising events. Prior to joining the Preserve, Karen was a small business owner and held positions at Mother Earth’s Storehouse in Kingston and with the NYS Department of Environmental Conservation in New Paltz.

Karen has a Bachelor of Arts degree in Geography from SUNY New Paltz with minors in Philosophy and Computer Science. She has experience with GIS Mapping from her internships with the NYS Department of Public Service and the NYS Department of Environmental Conservation. Her volunteer experience includes participating on the Boards of the Marbletown Arts Association, Marbletown Community Development Committee, and Marbletown Business Association. In 2001, Karen was awarded BlueStone Press Woman of the Year, which was nominated by the community.
