
Francesca Szabadi
Human Resources Manager
Francesca joined the Preserve in July 2025. She is a certified human resources professional (SHRM-CP) through the Society for Human Resource Management, with over 15 years of experience in nonprofit and corporate settings. She brings a broad HR background, with experience supporting staff development, fostering positive work environments, and improving organizational systems.
Francesca earned a graduate certificate in Organizational Communication with a focus on Human Resource Management from Northeastern University. She holds a BS in Environmental Studies, with concentrations in landscape architecture and environmental design, from SUNY College of Environmental Science and Forestry. Her academic journey began with an associate degree in horticulture, reflecting a long-standing passion for land use and stewardship.
In addition to her professional work, Francesca has served on the boards of several Hudson Valley nonprofits, including the Hudson River Maritime Museum and the Arts Society of Kingston, and was a committee member of the Women’s Leadership Alliance.
An avid outdoor enthusiast, she spends most weekends skiing, hiking, or cycling and is a proud member of the Catskill 3500 Club, having summited all 35 of the region’s highest peaks.
