Ellen M. Sticker

Chief of Staff

Ellen has worked at Mohonk Preserve since 2001 and was promoted to Chief of Staff in 2021. She is an accomplished Chief of Staff with almost 25 years of experience in executive support, building strong professional relationships and strategic planning. Ellen serves as a key advisor to the President & CEO, ensuring seamless communication, streamlining processes, and is a thought partner in finding innovative solutions to complex challenges. Coming from a diverse administrative background, she honed her leadership, organizational skills and pragmatic approach through positions in academia, health care and the auto industry.

She is a summa cum laude graduate of East Stroudsburg University in Pennsylvania with a Bachelor of Science degree, double major, and teaching certification in Health Education and Physical Education. She also earned an Associate of Science degree in Exercise Physiology from Orange County Community College (SUNY Orange) in Middletown, NY.

Outside of work, Ellen has hiked on the Appalachian Trail in Baxter State Park, Green Mountain National Forest, Harper’s Ferry, Shenandoah National Park, Harriman State Park as well as many other stops along the trail. She also enjoys gardening, canoe camping, traveling and likes the challenge of new recipes.
