Andrea MacScott brings a people-centered background in hospitality, storytelling, and visual media to her role at Mohonk Preserve. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality Management and has spent many years working in travel and service oriented roles, where creating thoughtful, organized, and welcoming experiences was always at the heart of her work.
A native Spanish speaker and fluent in English, Andrea has worked with a wide range of communities and enjoys connecting across cultures.
Andrea has been a professional portrait photographer for over 13 years, drawn to capturing real moments and authentic stories. For the past six years, she has volunteered for Mohonk Preserve, documenting its trails, fundraising events, races, and the people who care for this special place. Photography has been a meaningful way for her to give back.
Andrea loves hiking and spending time outdoors. Whether behind the camera or out exploring the Preserve’s carriage roads and footpaths, she is inspired by the mission to protect and share the beauty of the Shawangunks for generations to come.
