Older Wiser Learners (OWLs) – Aquatic Macroinvertebrates of the Stream
You are never too old to learn new things! Join Mohonk Preserve Education Staff for a series of workshops for adults ages 18+. Participants will dive deeper into the natural history of the Gunks in these seasonal workshops. This spring’s theme is Aquatic Macroinvertebrates. Spend the morning stream-side scooping for tiny invertebrates that live in the water. We will safely collect the creatures, identify and learn about their characteristics, and learn how to use them as bioindicators of stream health. Space is limited and registration is required. Cost is $30 for members and $40 for non-members.
