Medical Coordinator
Josh joined Mohonk Preserve in April of 2022 as a Patrol Ranger. Prior to joining the Preserve, Josh worked professionally in Level 1 trauma centers, EMS, ski patrol, and the National Park Service, as well as 9-years in the US Air Force, and has been involved in wilderness Search And Rescue for over 20-years. Continuing to work as a Patrol Ranger, in 2024 Josh became the Medical Coordinator for the Ranger team. Working alongside the Ranger team Medical Director, Josh ensures that each ranger is trained and equipped to respond to emergencies that occur on Preserve lands.
When not at work Josh is an avid outdoor recreationalist and enjoys alpine mountaineering as well as backcountry skiing. His pursuits have taken him throughout the Rockies of the US & Canada, the Cascades and the Coast Range of British Columbia. Josh is a certified Wilderness EMT, Rope Rescue Technician, and has completed AMGA Single Pitch Instructor training.
