Take It Outside! STEAM Outdoors Workshop for Educators
All Educators (Formal/Non-Formal) and Administrators Are Welcome!
Field Observations: Grades PreK-5 and 6-12
Spend a day learning some tips and tricks to effectively teach your students outdoors while still meeting Next Generation Learning Standards, including the Living Environment, and your classroom goals. Learn how to manage your students outdoors whether you are teaching off campus or in your schoolyard. Bring back to school some activities to creatively engage your students in STEAM and cultivate their observational and critical thinking skills through exploration, real life application, and journaling. Large portions of this workshop will be held outdoors in active participation in the Mohonk Preserve.
