Thank you for your interest in our Library Lending Program! We are so excited that you want to share Mohonk Preserve with your patrons.

About the program:

Established in 2013, the Library Lending Program provides free passes for patrons of participating libraries to gain access to Mohonk Preserve lands. The program, which was originally developed with the Gardiner Public Library, enables people to check out a pass the same way they would check out a book or other library materials. In alignment with the Preserve’s mission and strategic goals, the Library Lending Program helps to bring more people into nature, increasing nature’s relevance in their lives while also helping to ensure its future preservation.

We are currently piloting the expansion of the radius of the free program beyond 30 miles and are reviewing other changes to the program as well. At this time, passes are on an annual renewal cycle and are active through November 2024. They are sets of four passes with each pass allowing access for one adult for hiking, biking, climbing and cross country skiing/snowshoeing.

As we have recently been pleasantly overwhelmed with requests for passes, we appreciate your patience as these passes take additional processing time. If you would like to request passes for your library, please fill out the form below.

PLEASE NOTE:  If your library is already part of the program — or has been paying to be part of the program — no action is required — you will be sent your complimentary renewal lending passes this fall.  This form is for NEW libraries that would like to join the lending program only.
