Dear Mohonk Preserve Supporters,
I’m writing to share the great news that Kevin Case has been appointed Mohonk Preserve’s new President and Chief Executive Officer. Kevin succeeds Glenn Hoagland, who left the organization in September.
During a six-month process with a national executive search firm, our Board search committee interviewed many talented candidates for this leadership position. Kevin proved to have the best combination of experience and skills necessary to advance the Preserve’s mission. We are thrilled to have him join us.
For the past 15 years, Kevin has worked for the Land Trust Alliance (LTA), most recently as Eastern Director of Field Programs based in Saratoga Springs, New York. At LTA, Kevin provided strategic guidance and support for nearly 750 land trusts across a 32-state region to accelerate the pace, improve the quality, and ensure the permanence of land conservation. Previously he served as a Natural Resource Planner for the National Park Service in Connecticut, and was Executive Director of the Farmington River Watershed Association. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Finance from Bentley University and a Master of Science degree in Natural Resource Planning from the University of Vermont.
Speaking about his new position, Kevin said “It’s deeply inspiring to have this opportunity to work with Mohonk Preserve’s incredibly dedicated staff, enthusiastic volunteers, and visionary board as we guide the Preserve into the future. I am honored to continue the work that is being done to protect this iconic Shawangunk Mountains landscape that is beloved by so many.”
Kevin will assume his responsibilities as President and CEO of Mohonk Preserve on April 6, 2020, and we invite you to join us in welcoming him to the Preserve and the community as he and his family relocate from Connecticut.
