Dog Ambassadors – Volunteer Orientation
Dog lovers and owners are especially encouraged to join the Preserve’s new Dog Ambassadors group, but this group is open to all volunteers. Dog Ambassadors will help educate guests with dogs on the Preserve’s dog walking policies and amenities, such as watering stations. Volunteers will visit high-use dog walking areas at the Testimonial Gateway, Spring Farm and Undercliff Road to ensure a safe, welcoming environment for all. Volunteers are encouraged, but not required, to bring their well-behaved and leashed dog on their shifts to set a positive example.
Our volunteer orientations are designed to give you all the information you need about a particular volunteer activity. It is a great opportunity to meet with the coordinator, learn about the activity, and meet other volunteers. Please feel free to attend any or all orientations.
In 2021, all orientations take place online on Zoom. Please register in advance to receive the Zoom orientation log in link and additional instructions. If you want to get involved but cannot attend a scheduled orientation, contact Andy Reynolds, Volunteer Programs Manager, at email@example.com or 845-255-0919, ext. 1269.
