Interpretive Guides – Volunteer Orientation
This volunteer position is responsible for interacting with the visiting public through formal and informal interpretive activities. The primary focus of this position is to greet and orient visitors to the Mohonk Preserve through the explanation of maps, interpretation of exhibitions and/or programs at the Visitor Center, designated historical sites, or selected Trailheads. This is primarily an indoor position at the Visitor Center.
Our volunteer orientations are designed to give you all the information you need about a particular volunteer activity. It is a great opportunity to meet with the coordinator, learn about the activity, and meet other volunteers. Please feel free to attend any or all orientations.
In 2021, all orientations take place online on Zoom. Please register in advance to receive the Zoom orientation log in link and additional instructions. If you want to get involved but cannot attend a scheduled orientation, contact Andy Reynolds, Volunteer Programs Manager, at email@example.com or 845-255-0919, ext. 1269.
