January Bob Babb Wednesday Walks

Mohonk Preserve Bob Babb Wednesday Walks welcome adults of all ages and levels of ability. No reservations are required. Hikes will start at 9:30am at the trailhead parking lot listed and last 2.5-4 hours. Please be prepared with appropriate gear for the conditions and type of hike. In case of inclement weather, call June Finer, Hike Coordinator, at 845-255-7247 between 7:30-8am.

“Undercliff/Overcliff.” Wednesday, January 2nd,  9:30am.  Meet at the Mohonk Preserve West Trapps Trailhead. This is an easy, 5-mile hike/snowshoe/spikes led by Kay Bramson (bramson@aol.com ). Free for Preserve members, non-members pay the $15 day use fee.

“Black Creek (a Scenic Hudson park).” Wednesday, January 9th, 9:30am. Meet at the Black Creek parking lot, (entrance on the right 5.5 miles north on 9W from the Route 299/9W intersection). This is a moderate, 3-mile hike/snowshoe/spikes. This is a free program.

“Guyot Hill.” Wednesday, January 16th, 9:30am. Meet at the Mohonk Preserve Spring Farm Trailhead. This is a moderate, 4-mile hike/snowshoe/spikes. Free for Preserve members, non-members pay the $15 day use fee.

“Mossy Glen.” Wednesday, January 23rd, 9:30am. Meet at the Minnewaska State Park Preserve Awosting (lower) Lot at 9:30am or the Mohonk Preserve Visitor Center at 9:10am and carpool. This is a moderate, 4-mile hike/snowshoe/spikes. The Minnewaska State Park Preserve parking fee applies.

“Split Rock.” Wednesday, February 7th, 9:30am. Meet at the Mohonk Preserve West Trapps Trailhead. This is a moderate, 5-mile hike/snowshoe. Free for Mohonk Preserve members, non-members pay the $15 day use fee.
