Black Birders Week: Beginning Birder Walk

June 3 @ 8:30 am - 10:30 am

New to birding? Not sure where to begin? Learning how to look for and identify birds can feel a little overwhelming! Join Mohonk Preserve Education staff on a morning bird walk and learn tips on where, when, and how to look for birds! Bring binoculars if you own a pair (a few pairs will be available on a first come first served basis). This program includes a 1-2 mile easy walk and is 100% outdoors. Masks are optional. Children ages 8 and up are welcome and must always be accompanied by a registered adult. This program is free.

This event is in conjunction with Black Birders Week. Created in 2020 by BlackAFinSTEM and Feminist Bird Club, Black Birders Week is a nationally recognized event celebrating BIPOC birding in nature. This event is open to all who are interested.
