Adapting to Tree Speed
December 3, 2022 @ 12:00 pm - 3:00 pm

This guided forest engagement will bring you into stillness and connection with the Mohonk ecosystem and a group of playful fellow explorers. Artists Michael Asbill and Andrea Frank have focused their creative experiential research on the Mohonk Preserve for the past several years. They have produced a series of wearable wool sculptures that gently, and quite literally, entangle participants into the forest environment. Come prepared for an embodied exploration of rooting and mycelial enmeshment. This is a free program and registration is required. This project is made possible with funds from the Statewide Community Regrants Program, a regrant program of the New York State Council on the Arts with the support of the Office of the Governor and the New York State Legislature and administered by Arts Mid-Hudson. Ages 16 and up are welcome to participate and children must be accompanied by a registered adult. This free program will be 100% outdoors.
