Where summer adventures begin!
New for 2015
We are excited to announce a new and improved registration process in 2015. Online registration will be in a new, easier-to-use format. You will now be able to register more than one camper at a time and complete all necessary forms online! This year's tuition includes the enrollment fee, so no additional charges will be added at time of registrationl
In addition, Camp Peregrine will now operate in 1-week sessions. With this new change we are allowing campers to sign up for more than one session at a time. Schedules will change week-to-week, though some popular hikes will be revisited. We believe making this change will allow more campers to benefit from Camp Peregrine and provide greater flexibility for families. Check out a sample schedule here.

Mohonk Preserve summer programs provide opportunities for children ages 4-13 to spend their summer outside enjoying the natural wonders the Shawangunk Ridge has to offer. Under the careful supervision of our dedicated and professional educators, campers will laugh, play, and learn together; explore interests and abilities; and expand their understanding of themselves, each other and the world to which they belong.
Our Young Explorers (ages 4-6) will experience a new adventure every day as they spend their mornings on the trails surrounding the Mohonk Preserve Visitor Center and enjoy weekly field outings to other locations on the Preserve. They will participate in a range of activities such as building animal shelters in the Children’s Forest, playing nature games, music and storytelling, and creating their own art from nature.
Campers in Camp Peregrine (ages 7-10) and Mountainside Adventures (ages 10-13) will have a blast whether exploring the crevices of Rock Rift, scrambling up the boulders of Bonticou Crag, investigating the life cycle of a tadpole at Duck Pond, or fashioning frogs and turtles out of clay.
Please note: The drop-off and pick-up points vary each day for Camp Peregrine and Mountainside Adventures. Depending upon theme and planned activities, we rove on Mohonk Preserve or Mohonk Mountain House land. Parent packets, complete with map and daily locations, are provided in advance. 9am drop-off and 3pm pick-up is expected within a 15-minute window.
Partial refunds, tuition cost minus a $75 processing fee, will be available if cancellations occur prior to March 3, 2015. A 50% refund of tuition costs will be available prior to April 15, 2015. Tuition is non-refundable after April 15, 2015.
Members are eligible for a discount on Camp Peregrine and Mountainside Adventures sessions. With our new online registration system, the discount will be in the form of a coupon code. Members will receive an email with the discount code the week before registration opens. That code may be applied at checkout.
Mohonk Preserve is committed to serving families regardless of their economic status. Scholarships for the 2015 camp season have been awarded. Scholarship applications for summer 2016 will be posted here in December of 2015.
