A friend who knew that I was getting back into running asked me if I was interested in the Pfalz Point Trail Challenge: a ten-mile benefit run, now in its 13th year, to help raise money for the non-for-profit Mohonk Preserve, which protects and manages approximately 7,000 acres in and around the Shwangunk Mountain Ridge. "Sure!" I responded cavalierly. I'm a runner; I love the Preserve; those trails are my home - of course!
