The Armory Track and Field Center in New York City is primarily the domain of the very young and the very fast. Nearly every day during the winter months, this premier indoor facility hosts some of the best high school and college track and field meets in the country.
On March 5, though, the “old guys” took to the track. They may not be very young anymore like the high schoolers and collegians that buzz around the track at breakneck speed. But please don’t tell them they are not very fast. They are as fast as they can possibly be.
New Paltz resident Norman Goluskin was one of those old guys; at 74, he sure qualifies in that category. Goluskin has not faded into the background in his retirement years. Rather, he and his three relay teammates have blasted their way into history. View full article online or as a PDF.
